Ultimate U.S.A Flyaway

  • 15 days/14 nights/13 days bike hire
  • 2,600 miles
  • Epic American adventure
  • National Parks including the Grand Canyon
  • Hit the strip in Las Vegas

A stunning ride through many of the USA's best loved National Parks, including the Grand Canyon, en route to the Pacific Coast. We'll hit the road in Denver, known as ‘Mile High City’, on the edge of the Grand Plains and the Rocky Mountains. This is the legendary Trail Ride Road through the Rockies – and it's the highest continuous paved road in the USA. It tracks through forests before soaring up and over the treeline and into the hills all the way up to an incredible 12,183ft high.

Moab's unique combination of beautiful red rock scenery, two national parks and the ever-present cool waters of the Colorado River has made it one of the most sought after destinations in the Southwest. From here we head into Navajo Indian Territory where we very much recommend trying the traditional Navajo fry bread, topped off with green chilli beef! It's then on to Arches National Park, which contains the world's largest concentration of natural sandstone arches. Our journey continues along Colorado's San Juan Skyway through the picturesque, Victorian frontier towns of Silverton, Ouray and Mesa Verde, best known for its ancient Ancestral Pueblo cliff dwellings.

We then come to Monument Valley and arguably the most memorable landscape of the great American West. The giant redstone flat-top columns are iconic of the Wild West. When we reach Jacob Lake, we'll take a day off riding to explore the incomparable Grand Canyon from the North Rim and take in the stunning views from Bright Angel Point.

Soon after, we trade the dramatic and remarkable natural landscape for the extravagant, incomparable man-made glitz of Las Vegas, spending some time in ‘Sin City’. The Las Vegas Strip is the centre of this wonderland, and is home to shows, wild nightlife and glamorous casinos. Then it's on to the aptly named Death Valley which, if the temperatures permit, we'll cross on our way to the world-famous Yosemite National Park. Within its 1,200 square miles you'll find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness area and abundant wildlife.

Our final destination is San Francisco where our adventure would not be complete without a ride across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and a trip on the world-famous trolley cars. We may even have time to fit in a boat trip across to Alcatraz before heading home.
